Croke park have launched the 2016 GAA National Club Draw – a great opportunity for clubs to raise funds with fantasic prizes to be won.

Thanks to everyone for the support. The draw will be a year old next week and in that time €49,662 has been given out in prize money and donations have been made to local schools. Now of this could be done without the support of the Swinford community at home and away, thank you all.
The proceeds have enabled the club to upgrade the playing surface of Robert McCallion Memorial Park and invest in gym equipment. All our trainers and juvenile players have been decked out in the clubs colours.
The club is currently developing plans for improvements to our facilities especially for training for all levels of the club.

We are proud to announce that Damien Dempsey will play Swinford Cultural Centre on Saturday 30th May with his full band.
Damien has been gigging for nearly 20 years and has released seven albums since his debut ‘They Don’t teach this shit in school’ in 2000.

He sings in the tradition of his fellow Dubs Luke Kelly and Ronnie Drew and his music draws from his own personal expierences and national affairs.
He has won numerous awards including Best Irish Male at the Meteor Awards and his fans include Sinead O’Connor and U2 and he has been described by the Sunday Times as “A phenomenal voice….”
This will be a concert not to be missed and tickets are now available here online at swinfordgaa.ie and in the Gateway Hotel Swinford.
Doors will open on the night at 7pm and the show will start at 8pm.

The star performer for 2015 is one of Ireland’s finest artistes of all time, Phil Coulter. Composer, producer and performer, Phil is the best-selling Irish artist of his generation.

He has written at least four titles that can be added to the list of Great Irish Songs – the anthems ‘The Town I Loved So Well’ and ‘Ireland’s Call’ and the haunting ‘Scorn Not His Simplicity’ and ‘Steal Away’. Winner of Eurovisions, Ivor Novellos, Meteor Awards, he is a supremely talented songwriter and performer of the highest class. Phil will be joined by special guests on the night which will be announced at a later date.
