50/50 Draw

This weeks draw for Swinford GAA 50/50 draw was held in Moores on 10th November and Mattie Carroll of Tullinacurra won €759.00. The winning envelope was sold in O’Donnells Pharmacy, Market Street. Envelopes are available in most business premises and online through www.swinfordgaa.ie where tickets can be purchased in bundles of 10/25/52 weeks. Next draw in Julians on 17th November. Draw envelopes are now also available at 3 for €5.

Underage Development Seminar

On Saturday 14th Nov there will be a seminar in relation to underage development. It will be held in the Gateway Hotel from 7.30pm to 9pm. All club players, all underage coaches and interested parents are invited. The seminar will be presented by Brian Galvin and there will be other speakers. It will be of huge benefit to all concerned.

M D Roof Services Under 21 B Championship

The quarter final between Swinford and Belmullett has been fixed for next Saturday 14th November 3pm in Ballina

Swinford GAA AGM

The annual general meeting of the club will be held in the Gateway Hotel on Sunday 29th November at 6pm.

Under 15 Division 3 County Champions

Congratulations to our Under 15 players and management on winning the Divison 3 League title on Saturday 31st Oct defeating Davitts by 4-9 to 2-9. There is a full match report on swinfordgaa.ie.

MD Roofing Under 21 B Championship

The quarter finals of the Under 21 Championship will be played Weekend of 14th/15th Nov. The final round of group games are this weekend. We have a challenge game aganst Bohola Moy Davitts on Saturday at 4pm at Robert McCallion Memorial Park.

Declan O’Rourke to play Swinford

On Saturday the 28th of November, Swinford Cultural Centre is delighted to play host to the one and only Declan O’Rourke.

He is currently touring his brand new studio album, Gold Bars in the Sun, across America and Europe. His fourth album since he burst on the scene 10 years ago with ‘Since Kyabram’, Declan is a world renowned songwriter, a gifted instrumentalist and a consummate performer.

Paul Weller described his debut single Galileo as “…possibly the greatest song written in the last 30 years.”

After returning from a mini tour of the Western States of the United States, Swinford Cultural Centre is the first stop on his Irish tour and this is a unique opportunity to catch this world class talent in this wonderful venue.

Tickets cost €20 and are available online at swinfordgaa.ie and in the real world at O’Connell’s pharmacy and the Gateway hotel.

Under 15 Division 3 Final Swinford v Davitts

On a lovely evening at Gilmartin Park, Kiltimagh while most of the county were watching the rugby final a good crowd gathered to see Swinford play Davitts in the Division 3 County Final.
