This weeks draw was held in Sheepwalk and Cathy Gawley of Aclare won €569. The winning ticket was sold in Quinns Bar on Saturday Night.
Envelopes are available in most business premises and online through www.swinfordgaa.ie where tickets can be purchased in bundles of 10/25/52 weeks. Next draw is in Horkans on the 18th April. Draw envelopes are available at 3 for €5.

Our minors got off to a great start in the league with a very impressive 4-21 to 1-6 win at home to Cill Chomain.

Sean McDermotts GAA Birmingham

A great weekend was had by our visiting Under 14 and Under 16 teams with coaches and parents from the Sean McDermott Club in Birmingham. Swinford GAA would like to thank all our visitors from Birmingham, the Under 14 teams from Moy Davitts and Parke for playing in our Under 14 tournmanet on Saturday., Thanks also to the Swinford National Schoool band for parading the teams, Francie McNicholas for singing the National Anthem, to our referees Peter Geraghty and Liam Henry, to Swinford Golf Club and Swinford Amenity Park for the use of their facilities and to all the ladies who helped out with the sandwichers and refershments. Also thanks to our own Under 14 and Under 16 teams and to their coaches.

Sean McDermotts GAA Birmingham

We are happy to announce that the Under 14 and Under 16 teams from Sean McDermotts Club in Birmingham will be coming to Swinford on the weekend of 31st March/2nd April. This is part of the celebrations of the 60th anniversary of Sean McDermotts GAA. On Saturday 1st April we will be hosting a Under 14 tournament between Swinford, Sean McDermotts, Ballyhaunis and Moy Davitts. These matches will start off from 11am at Robert McCallion Memorial Park. Following this the Swinford Under 16 team will play Sean McDermotts Under 16’s.

We will all then meet up in the Gateway Hotel for refreshments and a presentation ceremony.

Everybody is welcome to support the various teams.

Training has commenced in the Community Centre on Saturday mornings for our Under 6 and Under 8’s. Under 6’s start at 9-45am and followed by Under 8’s are 11am.
