    50/50 Draw
    This weeks draw for Swinford GAA 50/50 draw was held in Horkans on 14th July and Kevin Doyle of Tower Hardward won €839. Envelopes are available in most business premises and online through www.swinfordgaa.ie where tickets can be purchased in bundles of 10/25/52 weeks. Next draw in Bolands on 21st July. Draw envelopes are now also available at 3 for €5.

    On Sunday 12th we suffered a defeat away to Hollymount-Carramore by 2-10 to 1-5. Halfway through the season we are sitting mid table but still with a good chance of pushing for promotion.

    Phil Coulter to play Swinford Church – Friday July 31st
    The world renowned Composer, Producer and Performer Phil Coulter will play Swinford Church this August Bank Holiday weekend.
    He will be accompanied by special guest vocalist Geraldine Brannigan in what promises to be a very entertaining night.
    He is  performing as part of the ‘Siamsa Seipeil’ festival and follows in the footsteps of Paul Brady, Sharon Shannon and Frankie Gavin.
    Swinford Church is a wonderful venue and this is a wonderful opportunity for the true music fan.

    For 2015, Siamsa Seipeil continues the tradition of bringing World Class talent to Swinford to start our August Bank Holiday weekend. The star performer for 2015 is one of Ireland’s finest artistes of all time, Phil Coulter. Composer, producer and performer, Phil is the best-selling Irish artist of his generation.

    He has written at least four titles that can be added to the list of Great Irish Songs – the anthems ‘The Town I Loved So Well’ and ‘Ireland’s Call’ and the haunting ‘Scorn Not His Simplicity’ and ‘Steal Away’.
