On a fine evening for football we lost to Kilmovee Shamrocks by the minimum on a score of Swinford 2-6 Kilmovee 1-10.

We got off to a great start with a goal by Darragh McIntyre with our first attack, a long ball that deceived the Kilmovee goalkeeper and went over his head into the goal. Darren Campbell put us back in front with a free after Fergal Loftus was hauled to the ground just outside the penalty box.

Disaster struct when a a 45 from Kilmovee dropped short and with a shot from 15 yards out was struck through a body of players into the goal.

We didn’t let that affect us and our next attack saw a well taken goal by Cillian O’Donnellto put us back in front. Kilmovee soon leveled and both teams swapped wides before the half time break.
