The August Bank Holiday kicks off with a bang this year with Sharon Shannon playing in Swinford on Friday the 2nd of August.
It’s always a big weekend in Swinford for the ‘Siamsa Sraide‘ festival, but this year it’s really special with musical icon Sharon Shannon playing.
The ‘Galway Girl’ international superstar will be going through her full backlog, which ranges from Trad to Country to Hip-Hop and Rock. She’ll be following in the footsteps of Frankie Gavin & De Danann who played the unique acoustic setting of Swinford church last year for this annual event.
Sharon has performed for President Barack Obama and President Bill Clinton and toured and recorded with Bono, Willie Nelson and Christy Moore. She’ll have some special guests along on the night. So, make sure you make it out for an international superstar playing in East Mayo!
