Swinford GAA 50/50 draw

This weeks draw was held in Moores and Martin Dunne of Lisheenabrone won €494. The winning envelope was sold by club volunteer Billy McNicholas on Saturday night. 
Envelopes are available in most business premises and online through www.swinfordgaa.ie where tickets can be purchased in bundles of 10/25/52 weeks. The next draw is in Quinns on Tuesday 19th November. Draw envelopes available for €2 each or 3 for €5


Club Annual General Meeting

The AGM of the club was held on Sunday 10th November. Before the meeting started Liam Moffatt addressed the meeting and put forward his plan if elected to the position of Chairman of the county board. The Chairman opened the meeting and all members who died during the year were remembered. The secretary gave her report and the minutes of the 2018 meeting, the treasurer provided the financial report for 2018. The Chairman gave his report for the year and thanked all coaches, players, volunteers for their work during the year. The election of officers took place, their were nominations for the Chairman and PRO and Ray Gilmore and Douglas Kelly were deemed elected. There are a number of vacancies and a EGM will have to be held to fill these positions. The meeting finished with a presentation to our outgoing secretary Katie Kelly and outgoing treasurer Deirdre Dunleavy. 

Club Extraordinary General Meeting

Swinford GAA EGM will be in the Gateway Hotel on Sunday 8th December at 6pm. There are a number of officer roles and executive positions to be filled. Please contact the club secretary at secretary.swinford.mayo@gaa.ie for a nomination form and closing date for nominations is the 7th December..
Nominations are to be accompanied by a letter signed by the nominee indicating that they are willing to allow their name go forward.


Major Event
Keep Sunday 1st December free in your diary as the club will be having a major fundraising event in Julians of Midfield.
