All members are asked to attend club meeting on Friday 20th May at 7pm in the Gateway Hotel. A very important matter requires to be discussed for the future development of the club.

50/50 Draw

50-50-draw (Duplicate)

This weeks draw was held in Franks Place, Killasser and Margaret Mary Gallagher of Oldcastle, Meelick won €627. Thanks to all our supporters.
Envelopes are available in most business premises and online throughΒ www.swinfordgaa.ieΒ where tickets can be purchased in bundles of 10/25/52 weeks. Next draw is in Julians, Midfield on the 24th May. Draw envelopes are now also available at 3 for €5.

Egan Jewellers Intermediate Championship

It was a very poor start to the 2016 Intermediate Championship campaign last Sunday in Gilmartin Park,Kiltimagh. The team were comprehensively beaten by the home side on a scoreline of Kiltimagh 3-14 Swinford 0-9. Next up in Championship in a few weeks time is a home game against Tourmakeady.

We are out in a league game this coming Saturday at 7pm away to Parke Keelogues Crimlin.

Senior League Division 1E

The team enjoyed a one point win away to Hollymount Carramore last Sunday by 1-10 to 1-9 to keep up a good start to the league. Next game is a home one against Ballycroy on Sunday at 11am at Robert McCallion Memorial Park.

Under 14 League Division 3

After being narrowly beaten by Aghamore in the Feile final on Bank Holiday Monday the team did very well to comprehensively beat Aghamore last week in this league game at Robert McCallion Memorial Park. The final score was Swinford 4-12 Aghamore 1-5. This was the first defeat inflicted on the visitors in the league.

We now face a tough game away to Hollymount Carramore on Thursday evening.

Siamsa Seipeil 2016

Siamsa Seipeil 2016 are very happy to announce that Our Lady Help of Christians Church will host from Aclare,County Sligo Tommy Fleming.
Tommy has toured both home and worldwide for the past 20 years to packed audiences and started his career off in Swinford where he spent summers busking at Siamsa Sraide and playing in many of the pubs as he set out on the road to success.
In 2004 he played the Basilica in Knock to over 5000 people, a show that has been seen by many millions worldwide on television and through DVD sales.
Following in the footsteps of Frankie Gavin, Sharon Shannon, Paul Brady and Phil Coulter Tommy will play Our Lady Help of Christians Church on Friday 29th July for what should be a fantastic night of entertainment. Tommy and his band will play songs from his many albums spanning his career in a night that is not to be missed.

Topaz Cash for Clubs 2016

The Topaz cash for clubs scheme is running again from the 16th May to August 7th. We were very successful in the draw in 2015.

Please collect your tokens when you purchase fuel at any Topaz station. The club number is 2853.

Mayo GAA Draw 2016

Swinford GAA Club are launching their club draw for 2016.Β  The annual subscription remains at €150.Β  The club draw is again structured this year to ensure each subscriber is getting value for their money and you will be entitled to the following for your €150 investment in the club;

  1. Club Membership – €20
  2. Entry to Senior Team home League games – €30
  3. County Board ticket – €100, which has a prize fund of over €50,000 and
  4. An entitlement to purchase an All-Ireland Senior Football final ticket should Mayo reach the final in 2016.

The officers of the club have decided to restrict the numbers in the draw this year to 120 people in order to limit the ticket demands placed on it should Mayo reach the All Ireland final in 2016.

Please contact any club officer as soon asΒ  possible if you are interested in purchasing a ticket as we expect to sell the allocation within a couple of weeks.
