    Swinford GAA 50/50 draw


    The club 50/50 draw recommenced on Tuesday 2nd June and on The Whitehouse Swinford Facebook page and Martina McLoughlin of Midfield won €348.
    This weeks spot prize of a €50 Corrib Oil voucher was won by Mark Dunleavy of Killasser.
    The clubs share of the draw of €348 will be shared between Pieta House and Down Syndrome Mayo.
    The winning envelope was sold in Eurospar Swinford.
    Envelopes are available in business premises in town and online through www.swinfordgaa.ie where tickets can be purchased in bundles of 10/25/52 weeks or from club officers.
    The next draw will be on the Whitehouse Swinford Facebook page on 9th June.
    Draw envelopes available for €2 each or 3 for €5.
    The club will like to thank everyone for their support.

    Dear Member

    We hope that you and your family are safe and well in these strange times.

    Thank you for supporting Swinford GAA club for the last number of years and we hope that you will continue to support the club.

    All club activities have been suspended for the past two months, with no action on our playing fields. The club has been busy, co-ordinating meals and deliveries to those at risk in our community. To assist in this the club has received a grant of €2,000 from the Dept of Rural and Community Development through Mayo County Council.

    At the present time the Government have provided a roadmap for lifting the restrictions currently in place but it will be some time before normal club activities will recommence. The club has ongoing expenses in regard to pitch maintenance and insurance costs. The club also wishes to put in place a fund for future development of our facilities.

    With this in mind the club has decided to recommence our weekly 50/50 draw from Tuesday 2nd June. Draw tickets will be available in a few businesses open in town and online through http://swinfordgaa.ie/lotto/

    It is the clubs intention to give the clubs share of the first draw to Pieta House and Down Syndrome Mayo and over the next few weeks to have regular spot prizes.

  • Important Notice Re: Club Facilities

    As per GAA instructions, all club facilities are now closed. This is to include the use of all pitches and property for recreational purposes, including walking, casual games or gatherings.

  • Swinford GAA Bulletin

    Evening everyone, 

    Just a few notes for our members, supporters and general public. 

    • If anyone in the community needs shopping or other deliveries a few club members are available to carry out these errands. Joe Mellett will coordinate our drivers. Please call Joe on 087 2573752 If you have your Eircode it will help our drivers. Thanks.
    • In consultation with GAA headquarters and Mayo GAA the club are cancelling all activities until further notice. All club games and training are cancelled with immediate effect. 
    • There will be no 50/50 draw for the foreseeable future. All entries sold since our last draw will be valid for our next draw. If you get a chance please continue to enter our draw by getting your envelope in the businesses that are still open and online on our website swinfordgaa.ie
    • It has been a very difficult few days for the Swinford business community and it will in most likelihood get a lot worse over the next few weeks and months, please do what you can to support local businesses. 
    • The club advises our members and supporters and all members of the public to follow the recommended guidelines provided by the health authorities.
    • If you are in quarantine or housebound and cannot look after your pet let us know as a local person has kindly offered to look after them
